Happy Reading – Be good to see you. Hapus i siarad Cymraeg hefyd.

I always start with colour. Watercolour paintings depict traditional images to prepare for my textile relief technique developed and named as Intaglio Strati.

‘Welsh artist Cynth Weyman transforms her Fine Art paintings into multi layered textile landscapes, seascapes and figures which are striking, emotive, full of colour, narrative, emotion and beautiful…they draw the viewer into a memorable and magical place’ says Michele Laugharne Perrott (Theatr Ffwrness curator and fellow artist)

‘Cynth’s collection – a feast for the eyes, quite unique & very different’

I carve into 15 layers of luscious Rajasthan silks, fine wools and cottons to create high textile relief panels and art quilts. Some pictures are enhanced with hand embroidery. Also, high quality limited edition themed collections of ‘my posh scarves’ in silk, giglee prints & blank cards.

Have you seen ‘Another Amazing Sunset: Pwllgwaelod’?  It took four months to create. This image records the stunning oranges and golds of the  evening sky just before the recent eclipse of the moon. Very special indeed – just could not resist.

‘Definitely the people’s choice’

Interior Designers and Art Collectors are invited to my Carmarthen studio, West Wales to see how buying an artwork first, then decorating the room to pick out unusual colour schemes, can be very exciting indeed. It’s also much easier than decorating beforehand and trying to find a piece that works on that feature wall. The hanging/framed panel will offer you several ways to re-decorate and personalise your home for many years.

Some textile pictures also have their original water-colour painting to hang nearby – real conversation pieces and definitely a ‘Wow’ factor!

‘I see something different every time I look at the images’ – Jo Williams.
